We are looking for a skilled Assistant 135 Director of Maintenance who will provide support with departmental planning and monitoring progress, helping to attain objectives of productivity and employee satisfaction. The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with FAA Part 135 requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
The successful candidate should be well-versed in performance and operations management and competent in assuming delegated duties. The well qualified candidate must also be a capable leader and a critical thinker, ready to solve problems before they become obstacles.
Pay: Salary commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures compliance of fleet aircraft and maintaining of tracking systems (CAMP, Flightdocs, etc.), ensuring all scheduled and unscheduled items are completed in a timely manner.
- Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team
- Responsible for company tool calibration program.
- Act as company liaison with service plan vendors, e.g., Satcom, Gogo, Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan etc.
- Perform quality control and assurance of aircraft maintenance activities including overhaul, modification, maintenance and repair of aircraft structures, engines and accessories as well as of maintenance policy, training and logistical systems.
- Provide effective training to internal and external stakeholders on aircraft maintenance policies, procedures and practices in accordance with best practices, applicable CFRs and company directives.
- Train and qualify technicians.
- Primary responsibility for conducting CASS Audits and Quarterly Meeting.
- Ensures good communication between the Regulatory Agencies for all held certificates.
- Assure all work accomplished by mechanics is completed in accordance with the company’s policies and General Maintenance Manual, Manufacturer’s Maintenance Manuals and current CFRs.
- Ensure that all assigned RII maintenance work performed on company aircraft is executed in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
- Ensure all company maintenance facilities and equipment are kept clean, organized for efficient maintenance workflow.
- Management of Outsource Maintenance Providers:
a. Authorization of OMPs and maintenance of OMP files.
b. OMP training and maintenance of OMP training files.
- Assist DOM with:
- Scheduling, planning and performance of required aircraft maintenance and inspections.
- Directing the maintenance department and Outside Maintenance Providers to assure maintenance is performed in an efficient and satisfactory manner and in accordance with OEM manuals and applicable FAA regulations.
- Submittals of both Service Difficulty and Mechanical Interruption Summary Reports required by FAR 135.
- Prioritizing troubleshooting of log items, Deferred Maintenance Items, part ordering, and delegation.
- Performing Maintenance Control Responsibilities after-hours, Vacation fill in or sick.
- Other duties as delegated by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications
- Possesses a valid Airframe and Powerplant License
- Aircraft Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
- · At least 3 years of Part 135 Aircraft Maintenance, including at least 1 year in the capacity of a supervisor role.
- · Possess strong organizational and communication skills. Strong mechanical aptitude.
- · Ability to multi-task various projects at a time and complete in a timely manner.
- · Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- · Hawker, Gulfstream and / or Textron experience strongly preferred.
- · Flexibility in scheduling due to after-hours on-call responsibilities.
- · Must be a cooperative member of the team and able to get along with others.
- · Must be loyal, reliable and dependable.
- Must possess excellent organizational and computer skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to easily adapt to change and new technology.
- Must be goal-oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and work well independently and with a team.
- Must be able to pass a ten-year Background/Criminal/OMV/Drug Screen.
- Must pass a drug test and eligible to participate in ongoing drug/alcohol screening program.
