Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician – Middle River, MD
We are seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for one of our valued clients in Middle River, MD. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to supervise maintenance operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency in private aviation.
About the Role
As a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing daily aircraft maintenance tasks, leading a skilled team, and ensuring all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance and act as the first-line supervisor for crew members
- Ensure all maintenance tasks adhere to company manuals and FAA regulations
- Lead, direct, and provide on-the-job training to maintenance personnel
- Monitor equipment usage and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Coordinate and assign manpower to meet scheduled return-to-service deadlines
- Oversee parts ordering, tooling management, and scheduling of outside services to maintain operational efficiency
- Arrange aircraft cleaning post-maintenance to ensure readiness for revenue service
- Communicate return-to-service status updates with the Manager of Maintenance and Maintenance Control
- Respond to unscheduled aircraft maintenance needs, liaising with Maintenance Control as necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while ensuring all safety guidelines are upheld
- Review work packages and verify proper documentation of all completed maintenance tasks
- Work closely with the inspection department to ensure compliance with RII and CAT1 inspection procedures
- Utilize manufacturer maintenance manuals to execute procedures correctly
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance or higher authority
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft applications for documentation and reporting purposes
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs)
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels
- Strong judgment and teamwork skills in maintenance and safety operations
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Previous experience with Corridor software
- Ability to read and understand company and manufacturer manuals
- Ability to perform line maintenance functions independently
- Physical capability to lift and move items of 70 lbs or more regularly
- Ownership of a minimum set of required tools

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, squat repeatedly, and stand for long periods
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary for this role ranges from $46.00/hour to $59.00/hour, with additional discretionary annual incentives based on performance.
