The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all
aspects of flight operations for our FAA 121 operations and maintains the FAA 119 certificate. This
includes developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the safe, efficient,
and smooth operation of the Companies fleet and related activities. This position requires a deep
understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and operational efficiency. The DO is responsible
for oversight of all flight operations, personnel training events and records, maintaining all Part 121
documents (Ops Specs, General Operations Manual (GOM), Training Program, Compliance Statement,
Hazardous Materials Manual, personnel records) in optimal form. This role works closely with the Director
of Maintenance (DOM) to maintain an on-going knowledge of the maintenance status of all operational
aircraft and preparing and filing FAA-required reports. The DO maintains operational control authority for
all flight operations and is the primary liaison to the FAA. This is a vital role to the safe and efficient
execution of flight operations and is a DOT regulated position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic plans for flight operations to ensure compliance with FAA Part
121 regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular assessments of operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish long-term goals and objectives for the flight
operations department that align with the company mission, vision, and values.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to drive
innovation and efficiency.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the flight operations department.
• Responsible for managing communication and approvals with the assigned FAA FSDO team.

Tactical Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day flight operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
and safety standards.
• Assist Chief Pilot in managing flight scheduling and crew assignments to optimize operational
efficiency and maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Monitor flight logs, maintenance records, and operational data to identify trends and address any
operational issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance departments to ensure aircraft airworthiness and minimize
downtime.
• Develop and implement recurrent training programs for flight crew members.
• Review and approve flight manuals, standard operating procedures, GOM, and operational
policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Authorized to implement changes to the company’s regulatory documents as approved by the
FAA.
• Responsible for adherence to all Title 14 CFRs as well as prohibiting implementation of arbitrary

procedures or practices by flight department personnel as coordinated through the Chief Pilot.
• Develop and maintain company Operation Specifications and serve as the company signatory for
the issuance and receipt of the OpSpecs.
• Act as a pilot as required to maintain proficiency, with the ability to fly more as time and duties
allow.
• Oversee all aspects of Operational Control.
• Maintain Operational Control responsibilities with the ability to delegate to qualified and trained
personnel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned in the General Operations Manual. • Ensure timely submission of expense reports using the company’s standard financial reporting
procedure.
• Ensure compliance with Wyvern, ARG/US, & IS-BAO requirements including audits
• Perform regulatory duties of an Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC), AEV Manager, &
Cybersecurity Coordinator for TSA’s Twelve-Five Standard Security Program
• Adhere to company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and guidance to flight operations personnel, including pilots, Mission Control,
and support staff.
• Conduct interviews, participate in the hiring process, provide training, and conduct annual
evaluations for direct reports under your supervision.
• Implement and execute corrective action for direct reports as needed.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open
communication.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and adherence to company values within the flight
operations team.
• Assist team with operational needs including shift coverage, duties, and tasks as needed to
maintain efficient operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Must hold a current ATP certificate.
• Must have at least:
o 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years in a position that
exercised operational control over any operations conducted under part 121 regulations.
o OR, in the case of a person without operational control experience, must have at least 3
years’ experience, within the last 6 years, as a pilot in command of an aircraft operated
under part 121 regulations.
• Understand Aviation safety standards and operating practices.
• In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly related to Part 121 operations.
• Meet or exceed the top metrics as laid out in the Pilot Pay Scale.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a
diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in using flight operations software and other relevant tools.
